and welcome to the web site of Rod Hannaman (REH). Rod works primarily in stoneware ceramics, acrylic paintings and mixed media art (wood, wire, ceramic tile, beads). A number of Rod’s paintings are non-objective work done on wood or canvas panels. Much of his newest acrylic paintings are bright colored patterns wherein some of the pieces have mountain or desert vistas worked into the center of the panels. Other mixed media may have mountain or desert vistas on a panel suspended by wire, beads (some turquoise and silver), or stoneware ceramic suspended in a wood frame.  He is now also working in tooled leather.

Rod also makes stoneware ceramic pots and bowls with “little villages” built on the edges, or pine needles laced around the edges that he sells at craft shows/ public events in towns near where he lives. Some of the pots and bowls are available for sale at the Ft Smith Art Center and the Ft. Smith Historical Museum, Ft Smith, Arkansas.

Rod has joined a local gun club which has resulted in his interest in tooling leather. He makes hand tooled and hand laced holsters, belts and knife sheaths and other items.

Look around the site and you might find the perfect gift for a friend or even for yourself.
